Tottenham Hotspur close in on Djed Spence deal

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly close to concluding a deal to sign Middlesbrough right-back Djed Spence. Spence, who was on loan at Nottingham Forest last season, has been heavily linked with Antonio Conte's side this summer. The 21-year-old was born in London and appears set for a return to the city, Spurs are keen to announce the signing before departing on a pre-season tour to South Korea on July 9.
Spence, who has played a few times for England's Under-21s, would be the fifth signing at Tottenham as the club continues to back Conte in the transfer market.
Conte guided the club to a fourth-placed finish in his first season, and must now balance Premier League efforts with a Champions League campaign. Spurs have already confirmed the signings of Yves Bissouma from Brighton and Richarlison from Everton, while Ivan Perisic and Fraser Forster have arrived on free transfers.
