Harry Kane: Mauricio Pochettino says FA Cup tweet 'embarrassing'

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino says a tweet sent from the FA Cup account mocking Harry Kane was "embarrassing". The  tweet was posted  after Manchester United's 2-1  FA Cup semi-final victory  over Spurs last weekend. The message asked United and England defender Chris Smalling "What's in your pocket?" and included a short clip of him replying: "Harry Kane." The Football Association apologised, and Pochettino said: "We need to protect our English players." The Argentine, who was  appointed Spurs boss in 2014,  added: "We need to give them belief. We need to teach them, to educate, and this type of situation disappointed me a lot. "For me, it was embarrassing. It was a shame because the FA is English football... and a potential captain like Harry Kane in the World Cup... I think was difficult to understand, very, very difficult." Paris St-Germain: Unai Emery to leave French champions at end of season

Paris St-Germain manager Unai Emery is leaving the French champions at the end of the season. PSG clinched the French title earlier this month but the Spaniard, 46, is out of contract in the summer. Former Borussia Dortmund boss Thomas Tuchel - who has been linked with Arsenal - is widely expected to be  Emery's replacement. "I have told the players I am leaving," said Emery, who joined PSG on a two-year deal in June 2016. he club finished second behind Monaco in Emery's first season in charge but defeated the champions 7-1 on 15 April to claim their fifth league title in six years. Emery, who won the Europa League  three years running  with Sevilla, has previously been  linked with a move  to Real Sociedad. "I thank president Nasser Al Khelaifi, the director of sport Antero Henrique, the supporters and all the players for these two seasons."

Steven Gerrard frontrunner for Rangers manager's job

Steven Gerrard is now the frontrunner to become the manager of Rangers and the job is his if he wants it, BBC Scotland has learned. Contact has now been made between the Ibrox club and representatives of the former England and Liverpool captain. Gerrard, 37, is a youth development coach at Anfield. Graeme Murty, 43, has been in charge of Rangers since October and the club have other candidates on  their shortlist  - but Gerrard is the man they want. If Gerrard agrees to take over, he would join his former Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers in Glasgow, with the Northern Irishman on the verge of winning back-to-back domestic trebles with Celtic. Speaking on Friday morning before Saturday's home Premier League game against Stoke City, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp said of Gerrard: "I am not worried. David de Gea will not leave Man Utd, says Jose Mourinho

Jose Mourinho says there is "no chance" David de Gea will leave Manchester United this summer. De Gea believes this season, his seventh at United, has been his best campaign at Old Trafford, and  The Sun  have reported the goalkeeper is set to be offered a new five-year contract by the club. Real Madrid previously chased De Gea but are believed to have turned their attention to   Chelsea's Thibaut Courtois . Andres Iniesta to leave Barcelona after 22 years

Andres Iniesta has announced he will be leaving Barcelona this summer after 22 years at the club. The 33-year-old's announcement came during a press conference at Barcelona's training ground on Friday, bringing an end to a glittering career at the Nou Camp. The midfielder was in tears during the announcement, which was attended by his Barcelona team-mates. Iniesta, a World Cup winner with Spain, won eight La Liga titles, with a ninth set to be secured in the coming weeks, alongside four Champions League wins and six Copa del Rey crowns. Iniesta is expected to move to Chinese Super League club Chongqing Dangdai Lifan, with their president Gong Daxing recently admitting they are in negotiations with the Barcelona midfielder.
