Barcelona defender undergoing Tottenham medical ahead of proposed loan move

Clement Lenglet is undergoing a medical ahead of his proposed loan move from Barcelona to Tottenham.
The defender stayed at the on-site hotel at Spurs' Hotspur Way training ground on Thursday night.
Spurs expect to complete the deal in 24 hours and include him in the squad travelling to South Korea for the beginning of their pre-season tour on Saturday.
The France international, who made 27 appearances in all competitions for Barca last season, is a left-footed centre-back - a position Spurs have been targeting this summer.
Lenglet, who joined Barca in July 2018 for £31.7m from Sevilla, only started seven La Liga matches and wouldn't be part of Barca head coach Xavi's plans next season.

Granit Xhaka's place in Switzerland's World Cup squad is in doubt after the Arsenal midfielder picked up an injury in training. The Swiss FA confirmed Xhaka had to stop training on Thursday after injuring his knee in a duel. He was not sent to hospital and was instead treated and examined by the physio at the team hotel. A statement on the Swiss FA website said Xhaka reported feeling pain on the outside of his left knee and will be sent for an MRI scan before any further update on the injury is given but they have told Sky Sports: "It is too early to say if he will miss the tournament in Russia". Xhaka is part of coach Vladimir Petkovic's 26-man preliminary squad which also includes Stoke midfielder Xherdan Shaqiri and Arsenal target Stephan Lichtsteiner. Switzerland play Spain in a warm-up match on June 3. They begin the World Cup against Brazil on June 17, before facing Serbia and Costa Rica in group E. via Sky Sports
