Barça Confirm Kessie and Christensen Deals

Barça have confirmed the signing of Franck Kessie and Andreas Christensen. Barcelona signed both players for free after the expiration of their contracts at AC Milan and Chelsea respectively. Kessie is a truly tenacious presence in the middle of the park. Barça manager Xavi was key in the negotiations to sign the Ivory Coast star. Kessie spent 5 years in Milan, ending his time at the club with a Serie A triumph last season. Kessie will add quality to Barcelona’s midfield as they hope to set their hands on the La Liga title which was won by Rivals Real Madrid last season.

Christensen joins Barça as an experienced defender. The Chelsea academy graduate has all it takes to make it in La Liga. Christensen has grown and learned a lot from playing with top defenders like Thiago Silva, David Luiz, Antonio Rudiger, Gary Cahill, and John Terry over the years. He is also experienced at the biggest stage too, having played in so many European games highlighting the 2021 UEFA Champions League final which he won with Chelsea. He will surely add a lot of quality to Barcelona’s defence.
