Manchester united representatives are headed to Amsterdam to talk about a deal for Antony. The reds are in advanced talks with Ajax for the brazilian forward. Ajax agreed a 5-yr deal to sign Antony in February 2020. They signed him the same month they agreed to sell Hakim Ziyech to Chelsea. The Dutch giants paid a preliminary £13m for the Brazilian, and they value him round £40m currently. Antony has been exceptional since joining from Sao Paulo in 2020. The brazilian scored 12 goals and provided 10 assists for Ajax in all competitions last term. However those stats fail to justify just how impactful he may be at the pitch. Manchester united have been watching Antony for over 6 months, and Ten Hag additionally wants the brazilian. The brazilian also created 37 chances for Ajax, and that is simply a part of what he can bring to Manchester United. Granit Xhaka's place in Switzerland's World Cup squad is in doubt after the Arsenal midfielder picked up an injury in training. The Swiss FA confirmed Xhaka had to stop training on Thursday after injuring his knee in a duel. He was not sent to hospital and was instead treated and examined by the physio at the team hotel. A statement on the Swiss FA website said Xhaka reported feeling pain on the outside of his left knee and will be sent for an MRI scan before any further update on the injury is given but they have told Sky Sports: "It is too early to say if he will miss the tournament in Russia". Xhaka is part of coach Vladimir Petkovic's 26-man preliminary squad which also includes Stoke midfielder Xherdan Shaqiri and Arsenal target Stephan Lichtsteiner.
